Background of the consultation
At the General Council meeting of October 24, 25 and 26, 2018, your union representatives voted to proceed with a call for tenders for the group insurance contract for CSQ members. They also decided to consult with the members about the content of the insurance plan. This is why we are calling on you today to complete a questionnaire about your interest in making changes to the current plan.
Throughout the consultation, information capsules will enable you to put each of the questions in context. We suggest that you also refer to your pamphlet entitled Your Group Insurance Plan at a Glance, which is available on the microsite for the consultation.
It is important to remember, that during a call for tenders process, the result is not guaranteed. The insurers may or may not meet our specifications. Obviously, the more an insurer models its tender on our specifications, the greater the chance it will win in the tender process. In certain cases, you may see that we have added “projected premium rate.” You must keep in mind that the costs indicated are for information purposes and that we cannot guarantee the rates that will be payable at the conclusion of the tendering process.
